Job description

Premier Dental Partners - Central West End is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

More about the role

  1. Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  2. Review patient health history to provide quality care.
  3. Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
  4. Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during various procedures, following state dental practice laws.
  5. Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
  6. Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
  7. Manage supplies and inventory, placing and expediting orders as needed.
  8. Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.

About our office

  • Join our 27-person team that values collaboration, communication, and community.
  • Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 7:45am-5pm; Wednesday 8:45am-5pm. No Fridays!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • If required, valid dental assistant and x-ray certifications per state law.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle PHI securely; HIPAA training will be provided.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 1 year of dental setting experience.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
  • Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training.
  • TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
