Dental Assistant

Our busy and growing client in Prosper, TX is looking for a Dental Assistant on a contract-to-hire basis.

Company Profile:

Dental Assistant Role:

As a dental assistant, you will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties in a dentist's office, including:

1. Escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing them for procedures, and handling billing and insurance details.
2. Assisting dentists with procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and cleanings, and making dental impressions.
3. Taking and processing X-rays safely.
4. Sterilizing dental tools and equipment, and passing dental instruments.
5. Post-procedure clean-up, including suctioning excess saliva and responding to emergencies.
6. Greeting patients, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
7. Updating and maintaining patient dental records.
8. Assisting with coding information for insurance purposes.
9. Advising patients on oral hygiene and providing instructions for procedures.

Dental Assistant Background Profile:

• Must have DANB certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED and have completed a dental assistant program at a vocational school or community college.
• CPR certification is required.
