The Dental Assisting job will be specific to the Endodontic Department supporting students and resident's dentists. Performing chairside dental assisting and radiography. Guiding patients through visits and treatments, ensuring charts are complete and necessary information is collected and coordinate with patient flow. Maintaining infection control in operatories and with instruments is in order.

Essential Functions

The Dental Assistant will support efficient operation of the dental clinic to facilitate optimal learning by students in a patient-care environment. Duties include assisting student dentists chairside during procedures, taking and processing radiographs, turning over operatories between patients, maintaining clinical areas in accordance with sound infection control standards managing instruments during and after patient use, assisting in greeting and seating patients, and performing other related clinical duties as requested.

Physical Effort

The incumbent will cooperate with the clinic's assigned dispensary clerk to ensure ready availability to student dentists of all necessary instruments and supplies.
