Job Title: Dental Assistant

Pay Rate: $21.14 / Hour

At CoreCivic, we do more than manage inmates; we care for people. We are currently seeking Dental Assistants who are passionate about providing high-quality care in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the dentist with the treatment of inmates/residents by setting up instruments and preparing materials such as impressions and filling materials.
2. Sterilize dental units and instruments after each treatment and replace instruments for subsequent patients.
3. Control medication, syringes, and other dental supplies or equipment; manage inventory according to established procedures.
4. Maintain a clean work environment and utilize appropriate sanitation methods.
5. Review dental services provided to prevent inappropriate use or duplication of services.
6. Review the status of inmates/residents to ensure completion of all necessary interventions, treatments, and services.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent or higher.
• At least one year of dental assisting experience.
• Completion of a dental assistant training program or other requirements meeting the Dental Practice Act in the state of practice, in compliance with applicable statutes.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years or older.
