Location: 15340 Jog Rd, Suite 100, Delray Beach, FL 33446
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant. The process begins with a short, paid working interview (1–2 days), allowing us to assess your skills and approach in real time. This trial period helps both parties determine if there is a good fit. If mutually agreeable, we proceed to full employment.

Qualifications and Expectations

We seek an experienced, highly skilled assistant confident in a surgical setting, proactive in supporting the doctor and patient.

• At least 4 years of dental assisting experience; 10+ preferred
• Strong understanding of medical histories
• Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with:
• General and surgical extractions
• IV sedation procedures
• Experience with Dentrix is a plus

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain models.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow infection control protocols, maintain confidentiality, adhere to regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, scheduling, and intake documentation.
• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or
• Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
