Necessary Qualifications and Skills

• 2-3 years of full-time experience as a Dental Assistant, with proficiency in chairside assistance and back-office support
• Active Dental Assistant certification in NY
• Comfortable taking X-rays, making temporaries, impressions, and removing sutures
• Familiarity with dental software such as Dexis and Eaglesoft
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English and Spanish
• Self-motivated team player who can work independently without supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification in NJ
• X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ
• Conversant in French Creole

Accountabilities

• Provide end-to-end chairside assistance, from pre-op prep to post-op cleanup
• Manage patient interactions with professionalism and compassion
• Educate patients on oral health and recommend procedures or at-home care as appropriate
• Take X-rays, make temporaries, take impressions, and remove sutures
• Maintain sterilization and cleanliness standards
• Manage patient flow efficiently
• Ensure operatories are stocked and place supply orders
• Enter procedure codes and notes into software as needed
