Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living seeks caring professionals to provide dementia care with person-centered plans. You will assist residents with daily living activities, support engagement programs, and help maintain accurate records while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include meal service, medication assistance as permitted by state rules, and teamwork with supervisors to ensure safe, compassionate care across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Direct care experience with older adults living with dementia preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease.
• May require state certification to maintain current certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities per care plan.
• Participate in team meetings and learn residents' Life Story and preferences.
• Serve meals and assist with dementia-friendly menus and hydration.
• Lead Daily Path engagement programs and encourage social activity.
• Maintain daily resident records; report changes to supervisor.
• Follow medication procedures as allowed by state regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond to emergencies.
• Support care plans and encourage resident independence.
