Brookdale Senior Living is seeking caring professionals to provide dementia care and support for residents in our community. The role involves assisting with daily activities, following individualized care plans, and promoting independence and wellbeing.

Candidates will help maintain records, support meals, and encourage participation in activities while ensuring a safe, clean living environment for residents. Experience with dementia is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience or training in direct service with older adults living with dementia is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's type, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care following a person-centered service plan.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Participates in care planning and supports independence where possible.
• Maintains resident records and reports changes to supervisor.
• Serves meals and supports dementia-friendly dining, encouraging adequate fluids and nutrition.
• Encourages social engagement and participation in activities.
