Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support residents in a community setting. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, and engagement programs while maintaining accurate records and adhering to care plans.

Responsibilities include monitoring health changes, following care protocols, and collaborating with a team to provide compassionate, resident-centered care. Experience with dementia care is valued, and the role may involve flexible hours.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Training in direct service with older adults living with dementia, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s type.

Aufgaben

• Assist residents with daily living activities per care plan.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate resident input.
• Know residents' Life Story, preferences, and routines.
• Serve meals and encourage proper diet and fluids.
• Lead Daily Path engagement programs as described in Life Story/Solace calendar.
• Maintain residents' records daily and document changes.
• Follow medication policies and state regulations where permitted.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond promptly to requests.
• Monitor resident locations and report changes; collaborate with team.
• Encourage teamwork and supportive interactions among staff.
