Brookdale in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Clare Bridge Program Coordinator to design and implement person-centered dementia programming across a 7-day schedule, engaging residents in meaningful activities. You will develop monthly calendars with residents’ interests, ensure compliance with Brookdale standards, collaborate with families and staff, and supervise program assistants.

A bachelor’s degree in related field and at least two years of programming with older adults are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and three-year driving abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and facilitates a 7-day a week person-centered dementia care program.
• Develops a monthly calendar with residents’ interests.
• Ensures programs comply with Brookdale standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with community leadership to educate families and staff about dementia care.
• May supervise Clare Bridge Program Assistants and conduct evaluations.
• Coordinates events and manages program budget/expenses.
