Brookdale Senior Living in Alaska is seeking a Clare Bridge Program Coordinator (Activity Director) to lead dementia care programming and coordinate resident activities, promoting person-centered engagement for residents and families.

You will coach caregivers, collaborate with leadership on dementia training, and manage pre-admission/move‑in/move‑out processes while planning dementia‑friendly programs tailored to residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, therapeutic recreation, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of management and direct supervision experience.
• Experience with residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement within the dementia care program.
• Directly provide coaching and leadership to caregivers in the community, ensuring care associates deliver person‑centered programming, dining, and care.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to provide dementia training, oversee pre‑admission/move‑in/move‑out processes, assist in hiring, and educate associates regarding dementia care.
• Plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia‑friendly programs that meet the specific needs of all residents in the dementia care community.
