This position reports to

Service Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention through effective communication of service work timelines and expectations.

The work model for this role is remote.

This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.
2. Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which you are certified.
3. Preparing material lists needed for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
4. Acting as a trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.

Qualifications for the role

• Associate's Degree desired or comparable military technical training plus minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB Symphony Plus Distributed Control System is a plus. Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided.
• Self-motivated and self-directed, with willingness to maintain overnight travel of 80%.
• Process automation work experience is preferred. Understanding systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal but not required.
• Fluent English speaking skills and a valid driver's license are required.
• Must have valid work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
