Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery staff, ensure safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations, and drive efficient, customer-focused service. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, and asset utilization while coordinating with Safety, Sales, and Marketing.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred) and 1–3 years of related experience, with CDL and HazMat credentials preferred or required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience.
• Sysco defensive driving program required.
• CDL is preferred but not required.
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL meeting company standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of Delivery Associates.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate logs (DOT/OSHA).
• Manage labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepare work schedules including extra days and shifts.
• Oversee proper use of company assets in Delivery.
• Coordinate with Safety for training and investigations.
• Communicate with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues.
• Visit customer locations to address delivery problems.
• Maintain associate relations and morale.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction ideas.
