Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an Operations leader to supervise delivery staff, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and optimize routes and customer service. The role emphasizes staff development, policy enforcement, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Marketing.

The ideal candidate will have a GED or higher and experience in delivery or logistics, with familiarity with FMCSR, DOT and OSHA requirements, and strong computer skills to manage logs and performance data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Two or Four year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• Experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and planned routes.
• Ensures DOT, OSHA and other regulatory compliance and accurate electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and prepares work schedules; coordinates shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset usage and coordinates repairs with relevant departments.
• Reviews productivity reporting and suggests efficiency improvements for delivery operations.
• Enforces company policies and safety procedures; conducts training and safety inspections.
• Interacts with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer and delivery issues; visits customer locations as needed.
• Maintains associate relations through meetings and open communication; supports engagement and enablement.
• Manages staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and terminations as required.
