Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Orlando, FL is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the transportation manager in supervising delivery and backhaul operations, training staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee daily transportation activities, ensure DOT/OSHA compliance, manage schedules and labor hours, coordinate with warehouse and customer service, and drive efficiency with cost-saving measures while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2-4 year college degree in business management, supply chain management, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of transportation associates and adherence to SOPs and food safety standards.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintains accurate electronic logs.
• Oversees labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules and shifts as needed.
• Assists with training and cross-training of associates; directs proper use of company assets.
• Coordinates repairs and communications with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve issues.
