Job summary

REE Medical seeks a Senior Manager, Engineering & Product Delivery to lead execution, translating business requirements into shipped software and owning the Jira backlog through to production release. This role directly manages a team of internal engineers and oversees vendor development partners, including offshore resources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering or engineering management, with at least 2 years of direct people management.
• Experience managing vendor/offshore development teams alongside internal staff.
• Strong Jira and agile process expertise with backlog management.
• Healthcare, insurance, or regulated-industry experience.
• Excellent communication translating business outcomes to engineers.
• Comfort operating at SMB scale (50–500 employees).
• Preferred qualifications: Salesforce, AWS, healthcare tech background.

Responsibilities

• Own flow from business requests to Jira epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements are complete, sized, and understood before sprint commitment.
• Partner with product owners, architects, and business analysts to translate business intent into buildable specs.
• Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog across all active product streams.
• Facilitate design-to-dev handoffs with complete UI/UX specs, wireframes, and data models.
• Run daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and agile ceremonies across teams.
• Own sprint velocity, burn-down tracking, and capacity planning.
• Drive release cadence, coordinate QA, and ensure production readiness.
• Identify blockers and maintain delivery dashboards for weekly CIO visibility.
• Own change management for releases with documented approvals and traceability.
• Drive process improvements in intake, handoffs, and releases with stakeholders.
