Job summary

REE Medical is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering & Product Delivery to lead execution from business requirements to shipped software. You will oversee internal FTE developers and external vendor teams, acting as the bridge between stakeholders, product owners, and engineering.

You will drive backlog management, sprint execution, and release governance while ensuring quality, compliance, and predictable delivery in a remote-first environment across the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering or engineering management with at least 2 years directly managing teams.
• Experience managing vendor/offshore development teams and enforcing sprint commitments.
• Strong Jira and agile process expertise and backlog management.
• Healthcare/regulated industry experience and compliance awareness.
• Excellent communication and ability to align business and engineering teams.
• Experience in SMB-scale organizations (50–500 employees) with multi-hat roles.

Responsibilities

• Own the flow from stakeholder requests to Jira epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements are complete, sized, and understood before sprint commitment.
• Coordinate with product owners, architects, and analysts to translate intent into buildable specs.
• Manage backlog across all active product streams and ensure design-to-dev handoffs.
• Lead daily standups, sprint planning, and release management with internal and vendor teams.
• Drive release cadence and production readiness with QA and post-release traceability.
• Track blockers, deliver dashboards, and report progress to CIO.
• Coach and develop internal engineers; recruit and onboard as needed.
• Monitor vendor performance and escalate issues as necessary; coordinate staffing.
