Job summary

Park Community Credit Union in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a Collector to protect assets by managing delinquent loans and overdrawn accounts. You will contact delinquent accounts, assess financial situations, and coordinate collection efforts while delivering high-quality service to members.

Responsibilities include completing accurate records, assisting with claims, and supporting cross-sales of credit union services.

Qualifications

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Interpersonal skills include courtesy, tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent accounts by phone, mail, or electronic messaging to bring loans/accounts current.
• Analyze borrowers' financial situations and recommend collection actions including collateral repossession when needed.
• Assist members with filing credit disability claims and death claims for benefits.
• Maintain accurate files and reports of all collections activity.
• Cross-sell Park Community services to members.
• Provide assistance for legal actions including testifying when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
