Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Deli Associate at our Bismarck, ND location. The role involves preparing, packaging, and displaying deli products, stocking backrooms, and collaborating across departments to meet guest experience and safety standards.

The position shift is 12pm-8pm, with days varying by department needs. Candidates should have a high school diploma (GED preferred), retail experience, basic math skills, and strong attention to detail. Travel is not a requirement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Deli Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Deli Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
