Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Deli Associate to prepare, display, and stock deli products while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety standards. You will package, label, and rotate deli items according to plan and collaborate with teammates to meet store goals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and about one year of retail experience. Basic math and clear instruction-reading abilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Clear communication of tasks, recipes, weights and measures to teammates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce deli products to production standards.
• Package and label deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise deli products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with deli products, rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Notify the Deli Manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• May assist other departments as needed.
