Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Deli/Bakery Associate to join our team in Mandan, North Dakota. This role prepares bakery/deli products, assists with packaging, labeling, stocking and merchandising to deliver excellent guest experiences.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, follow safety and PPE guidelines, and collaborate with store teams to meet merchandising plans. High school diploma preferred and retail experience helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Bakery/Deli Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Bakery/Deli Products per program plan.
• Mercandise Bakery/Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery/Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Notify the Bakery/Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
