Sprouts Farmers Market in Lecanto, FL is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to help lead one of our busiest teams, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring product quality and safety.

You will assist in managing deli operations, scheduling, training staff, handling inventory, and maintaining health and sanitation standards, with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have strong communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to take and give direction, participating in a team environment.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers, taking special orders and answering phones.
• Possess proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff, with knowledge of personnel reports and financial goals.
• Have a strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Have strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Operate deli equipment and assist in maintaining safe working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver the highest quality product and service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload and sort deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed.
