Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Ocala, FL is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead one of our busiest teams and help customers make healthy food choices in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You will assist in managing deli operations, oversee inventory and scheduling, ensure food safety and sanitation, and mentor the team to deliver exceptional service and quality products.

Strong leadership, communication skills, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to take/give direction in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and manage staff and understand reports and financial goals.
• Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload/store deliveries, operate deli equipment, and maintain safety standards.
