You will oversee inventory, deliveries, sanitation, adherence to food safety standards, and training for employees to deliver top-notch service, manage shifts, and control costs in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of deli experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and write to tag merchandise and maintain inventory.
• Strong communication with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Able to stand for most of the shift.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Deli Department functions to meet sales and profit goals.
• Manage inventory levels, stock counts, and waste reduction.
• Verify deli deliveries and invoices for accurate billing.
• Assist unloading deli merchandise and move to floor/storage areas.
• Control department expenses by ordering supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Train and supervise staff to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Maintain department cleanliness and orderly operations.
• Respect weights and measures laws and company policies.
