DELI/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Minimum Qualifications

- Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests using proper deli equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use all deli equipment, such as fryers, rotisseries, heat lamps, and ovens, according to company guidelines.
- Prepare foods according to food safety standards and temperature logs.
- Educate associates about current, upcoming, and special in-store promotions.
- Assist in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate actions.
- Plan, organize, and supervise inventory processes.
- Train associates on inventory, stocking, and computer-assisted ordering.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs.
- Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
- Report customer or employee accidents and safety risks.
- Report illegal activities such as theft, fraud, or robbery.
