Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Supervisor/Deli Lead to direct the deli and food service department and its staff to meet merchandising, sales, and guest service goals. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, scheduling and customer interaction in a busy retail setting.

The ideal candidate has prior fresh foods management experience, strong food safety knowledge, and a commitment to delivering excellent guest service and product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a deli or fresh foods team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent guest service and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Direct department personnel and communicate with store management and supervisors.
• Select, onboard and coach new team members.
• Schedule all team members and ensure coverage.
• Offer product information, selling suggestions and samples to guests.
• Take guest orders and ensure on-time fulfillment to satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety guidelines.
• Order products and supplies to maintain stock and standards.
• Oversee deli/food service prep, display and merchandising.
• Rotate items for quality and inventory control.
• Maintain clean, safe counters, prep areas and coolers.
• Keep accurate paperwork and complete transactions.
