Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage the deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance, and guest service. Responsibilities include cash handling, using registers and scales, preparing deli items, and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires flexibility for weekends/holidays, and candidates should be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work around kitchen equipment. Health and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Serv-safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods of time, bend and twist, and lift/move merchandise and supplies.
• Use of knives and slicers; OSHA rules apply for minors.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, register forms, and posted policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products.
• The preparation and cooking of deli and food service items, including fried foods, salads, sandwiches, beverages, and prepared meals.
• Work safely around slicers, ovens, and fryers.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain a clean, orderly check stand and work production areas.
