Job summary

Global Partners LP seeks a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations with a focus on sanitation, guest service, and accurate pricing. You will handle cash, operate the register, and prepare a variety of deli items for hot and cold cases.

This role requires flexibility for weekend/evening shifts, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Prior foodservice experience and Serv-Safe certification are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and/or evening shifts.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management experience.
• Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods and handle sharp equipment safely.
• Knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries use (18+).
• Minors may only use OSHA approved knives.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions and give back change/refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage and policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products.
• Cook and prepare deli items: fried foods, salads, sandwiches, beverages, meals.
• Work safely around slicers, ovens, fryers and burners.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely, satisfactory completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
