Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage the deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance, and guest service. The role includes learning to operate registers, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals, and handling deli items with care.

The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and flexibility for weekends/evenings. Serv-Safe certification is preferred; reliable transportation is needed.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 16 years or older.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management experience.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods and move items safely.
• Use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries with care.

Responsibilities

• Process cash transactions, give change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and terminals.
• Read UPC codes and product labels; follow pricing and signage rules.
• Prepare and stock deli/food service products; slice, weigh and wrap items.
• Cook and prepare deli items (fried foods, salads, sandwiches, beverages, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, neat check stand and work area.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
