Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations. You will handle cash transactions, prepare and stock deli items, and ensure sanitation, safety, and guest satisfaction.

The role involves standing long hours, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Required flexibility for weekends/evenings; Serv-Safe preferred; two years in foodservice/retail management is noted.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
• Serv-safe certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods and handle knives and slicers safely.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, register forms, and posted policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products.
• Prepare and cook deli items, salads, sandwiches, and beverages.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion to guest satisfaction.
• Keep the counter and production areas clean and orderly.
• Display products according to department guidelines.
