Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a dedicated Store Manager/Dept. Leader to oversee daily deli, carryout, cafe and cheese operations in a busy supermarket setting. You will enter orders, schedule work, supervise and train team members, receive, stock, check dates, and adjust pricing as needed.

You will also lead safety and sanitation efforts, maintain equipment, manage loss prevention, and help deliver a superior customer experience across the department.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate company policies and safety regulations
• Must complete a food safety certification every 5 years
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements
• Must meet company performance standards including regular attendance
• Must be able to use or learn the equipment used to perform the job

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule at shift start and prepare with required PPE.
• Perform markdowns and track loss.
• Carry out deli, carryout, cafe, and cheese tasks per SOP.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, equipment, cases, floors, and counters.
• Prepare sandwiches, subs, wraps, and place in display case per SOP.
• Cook pizzas using turbo oven and package for customers.
• Assist customers and portion deli meats and cheeses.
• Prepare grab-and-go items and stock display cases.
• Handle chicken processing from roasting to labeling.
• Clean roaster and manage oil disposal.
• Prepare smoked program items and train others on process.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas every 4 hours.
• Follow SOPs for Flashfood donations and safety procedures.
• Organize and maintain sales floor coolers and freezers.
• Assist with weekly circular planning.
