Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced store leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across multiple departments. This role mentors staff, drives customer service excellence, and ensures company standards are met during peak hours.

You will oversee staffing, hiring, and development, while promoting safety and consistency in performance. The position requires 2–3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, with a focus on coaching and performance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staff recruitment, selection, and retention to meet staffing needs.
• Disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations when needed.
• Manage store P&L and maintain shrink within department targets.
• Ensure safety and training compliance across the team.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
