Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is seeking a store leader to oversee day-to-day operations across departments, mentor staff, and drive customer satisfaction. You will implement strategies to improve service, sales, and adherence to Meijer standards.

The role requires 2–3 years retail experience with a year in management, strong communication, and the ability to analyze financial information, lead safety practices, and promote growth within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store areas.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and drive sales.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Must complete required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Achieve sales targets and manage P&L for the department.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet Meijer standards.
• Ensure customer service is courteous, friendly, and efficient.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation during prime hours.
• Promote Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Ensure team receives required training and safety practices.
• Attend to disciplinary actions and promotions as needed.
• Communicate effectively to provide clear direction.
• Spend time in-store engaging with customers and staff.
