Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must be accredited as a Food Safety Manager or obtain accreditation within 90 days of employment.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Deli Bakery HMS department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Coach associates on labor and productivity to meet targets.
• Provide friendly customer service and promote Food Lion brand culture.
• Ensure department appearance, safety, sanitation and quality.
• Maintain schedules to ensure exceptional service and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with policies and local, state and federal regulations.
• Monitor safety, inventory and shrink; report incidents.
