Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Clear and precise communication to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflict by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Ability to teach suggestive selling.
• Ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Mentor team members in all areas of the organization including SDITs and hourly staff.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations within various store departments.
• Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs and ensuring quick, efficient service.
• Maintains store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning and provides career paths; involved in promotion decisions.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink for the department.
