Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Deli/Bakery HMS Department Supervisor to support store operations in Delmar, DE. You will manage labor, coach associates, and ensure fast, friendly service while upholding our Brand Strategy and culture.

In the absence of the Deli Manager, you will lead the department, maintain safety and sanitation, and strive to meet budgeted goals through strong merchandising and customer focus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Able to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and achieve Food Safety accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Deli Bakery HMS department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Brand Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and department appearance standards are maintained.
• Monitor inventory shrink and coach associates to prevent losses.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
