Job summary

Food Lion in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS lead to support store operations in the absence of the Deli Manager. You will supervise associates, manage labor, and promote friendly, efficient service that reflects our Brand Strategy and Culture.

You will help achieve budgeted financial and operating results while maintaining safe, clean, well-merchandised departments and high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Must be accredited by a recognized food safety body or complete training within 90 days of employment; accreditation maintained while employed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity needs.
• Provide leadership and motivate store teams in line with Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, safety and sanitation are consistently maintained.
• Ensure schedules provide extraordinary customer service and proper ordering/receiving.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Adhere to company policies, dress code and guidelines.
• Complete CBT and training courses as required.
