Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to attain within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli HMS department in the absence of the Deli Manager and supervise associates' duties
• Daily labor management and coaching to achieve productivity
• Lead and motivate staff and promote Food Lion's brand culture
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and a positive shopping experience
• Ensure department appearance, quality, sanitation, and safety standards
• Maintain schedules and process ordering, receiving, and product displays
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
