Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or comparable as a Certified Food Safety Manager or able to obtain accreditation within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager and supervise HMS associates
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations
• Provide leadership to promote the brand culture and customer service
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Maintain a positive customer-focused shopping experience
• Use company tools like ACIS, scheduling, and reporting systems
• Ensure department appearance, safety, and sanitation are maintained
• Ensure scheduling supports extraordinary customer service
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and display of merchandise
• Monitor safety and compliance with regulations
