Job summary

Food Lion in High Point, NC is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Department Leader to support store operations and help achieve financial and sales goals. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals as a Certified Food Safety Manager within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Smile and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, easy, flexible and friendly customer service.
• Role model outstanding, friendly customer service using department product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and care for supplies and equipment.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems.
