Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a deli/bakery host for our Kj’s Market-style operation. You will provide polite, friendly service to guests and help manage the deli/bakery department to meet sales and profitability goals.

Responsibilities include inventory, ordering, training, and ensuring product quality and department sanitation according to company standards. This role requires teamwork and strong guest service skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Store Manager and Merchandiser.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guests service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
