Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise deli staff, ensure guest-friendly service, and maintain product quality and sanitation standards in the deli department. You will manage inventory, scheduling, and budget performance, while providing leadership and training to team members.

You will work within merchandising and operational guidelines, handle product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service duties, and perform PA announcements as needed to support store operations.

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
