Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise the deli department, maintain guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations to maximize sales, and to assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.

You will lead staff to provide polite service, ensure product quality, manage inventories and scheduling, and uphold Lowes Foods standards for sanitation, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Friendliness, outgoing personality and ability to work with others.
• Knowledge of deli operations and ability to supervise/train staff.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read/directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service from the deli staff.
• Aim for budgeted sales, shrink and profits in the deli.
• Maintain inventory levels and supplies.
• Operate department per merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety across the department.
• Mentor and train deli hosts to meet performance standards.
• Perform product prep, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as needed.
• Manage department labor budget and scheduling.
• Make PA announcements and support management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
