Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager in Plano, TX to lead one of the busiest deli teams. You will support the Deli Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and staff supervision to ensure high-quality products and excellent customer service.

You will hire, train, and develop team members while maintaining health and safety standards. This fast-paced role offers opportunities for growth in a vibrant grocery environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years supervisory experience in deli or food service
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage staff
• Food safety certification maintained
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit
• Assist in ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team
• Unload and sort store deliveries and operate deli equipment
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and support store operations
