Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to help customers make healthy choices while leading a busy store team in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist in managing the deli, handling orders, inventory, and staff development, while ensuring food safety and safety guidelines are strictly followed. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and a friendly, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have preferred 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers and handle special orders.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate, and maintain staff; understand margin, sales and financial goals.
• Food Safety certification; comply with federal, state and company regulations on food safety, sanitation and safety.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods; operate deli equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality product and exceptional customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment; ensure health and sanitation guidelines are followed.
