Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to support the Deli Manager in running a busy, customer-focused department within a fast-paced retail environment.

You will help manage staffing, inventory, and product quality while delivering exceptional service. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prefer 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and maintain staff.
• Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Food Safety certification required and knowledge of sanitation guidelines.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unloading deliveries and maintaining deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
