Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead CBEC technology programs in Cedar Rapids. You will oversee customer-funded initiatives and internal R&D, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring technical, schedule, and financial performance while engaging with DoD customers and prime contractors.

You will drive pursuit and capture activities, manage risk, and coordinate with Business Development and Engineering to expand the defense portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years with an advanced degree)
• Experience with EVMS program management and risk & opportunity management
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of multiple customer-funded programs within the CBEC organization
• Provide program leadership for technical performance, cost, schedules, and contractual commitments
• Lead geographically dispersed cross-functional teams, coordinating resources and priorities
• Drive business growth through pursuit, order, and capture activities with Business Development and Engineering
• Interface with DoD customers (e.g., DARPA, AFRL, NRL, NSA) and prime contractors
• Oversee program financial management and performance reporting (EACs, PMRs, cost/schedule)
• Identify, assess, and manage program risks and opportunities
• Travel up to 25% to support program execution and customer engagement
