Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineering Manager to lead a team of system security engineers in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role focuses on cybersecurity across the system development lifecycle, RMF, and certification processes.

You will mentor staff, drive security architecture, and coordinate DoD programs to maintain top-tier protection of critical assets. This onsite role requires a SECRET clearance and offers extensive security and leadership

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret clearance required.
• DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
• Experience with DoD/IA certification processes and RMF, NIST 800-37.
• Experience in Earned Value Management or CAM roles.
• Experience reviewing U.S. government contracts and BOEs.
• Strong leadership and program management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of system security engineers and manage programs.
• Develop security architectures and provide recommendations to security engineers.
• Support cybersecurity requirements, design artifacts, plans and policies.
• Define security development and test efforts for secure devices and systems.
• Support RMF documents and ATO accreditation processes.
• Conduct cybersecurity audits to ensure compliance.
• Report to the Department Manager on contract health and milestones.
