Job summary

Code Metal is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support government and commercial defense pursuits. You will coordinate capture activities, maintain opportunity information, organize proposal development, and track deadlines to keep pursuits moving from qualification through final submission.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable coordinating across business development, technical, contracts, finance, and executive teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DoD proposal coordination, business development operations, or government contracting.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively follow up with contributors. Applied Shipley or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proposal activities from pre-solicitation through final submission, including schedules, assignments, reviews, and deadlines.
• Support research into government customers, acquisition pathways, contract vehicles, incumbent contractors, and upcoming requirements.
• Review solicitations and develop compliance matrices, outlines, checklists, and submission requirements.
• Monitor procurement sources and portals for opportunities, amendments, notices, and relevant activity.
• Coordinate inputs across teams and translate input into clear, compliant written responses.
• Draft proposal content including executive summaries, management, past performance, and other sections.
• Coordinate capture meetings, track action items, and follow up with owners.
• Perform desktop publishing including formatting, editing, quality control, and final submission.
• Maintain reusable proposal content, templates, resumes, and corporate documentation.
• Support pipeline management, leadership reporting, and analysis of activity.
