Job summary

Code Metal, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support government and defense pursuits.

You will coordinate capture activities, maintain opportunity information and action items, organize proposal development, and track requirements from qualification through final submission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and able to coordinate across business development, technical, contracts, finance, and executive teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience coordinating DoD proposals / government contracting workflows.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with multiple deadlines.
• Strong written communication, proofreading and editing abilities.
• Independent work style with proactive follow-up.
• Experience with Shipley or similar proposal development methodologies.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proposal activities from pre-solicitation through final submission, including schedules, assignments, reviews, and deadlines.
• Research government customers, acquisition pathways, contract vehicles, incumbents, and requirements.
• Develop compliance matrices, outlines, checklists, and submission requirements.
• Monitor government procurement portals for opportunities, amendments, notices, and activity.
• Translate inputs from growth, technical, contracts, pricing, and partners into clear responses.
• Draft proposal content including executive summaries and past performance sections.
• Coordinate capture meetings and track actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Perform desktop publishing, formatting, quality control, and document assembly.
• Maintain reusable proposal content and templates.
• Support pipeline reviews and leadership reporting.
